My "Why"
As a child, I loved being in the kitchen with almost every senior person in my family, even my babysitter. It was soothing to me. As an early detected ADHD'er, I had lots of energy and a lack of focus. At the time, I did not realize the kitchen and cooking had become therapy for my overactive brain and antsy body. I don't think my mom knew that cooking was just the medicine I needed for my ADHD.

As a very active young adult, I became increasingly curious about how food helps our bodies. In my first year of college, I wrote a paper on adult-onset diabetes alternatively known as Type 2 diabetes. Not to brag but that was in honor of my grandfather. Shortly after that, I began working in the medical field.
​
For over the next 20 years, I would become very familiar with many different patients and various medical conditions many of which we know today as inflammatory diseases. That was a time when "Sickly" individuals were in their retirement years. Things have changed a whole lot since then. These so-called illnesses no longer have age discrimination. I found myself coming home thinking back on how cooking was so therapeutic to me.

Having access to good quality food and knowing how to prepare it made me feel good. Connecting the dots between good food and healthy bodies brought me to this wonderful world of holistic nutrition. When combined with an active lifestyle, positive daily habits, and a balanced nutrition program I am enjoying becoming a better version of myself every day. I would be honored to help you create and also become the best version of you.
